Privacy Policy

Version dated 5 October 2026

This page explains what data Buildenzo uses, who can access it and how to exercise your rights.

1. Who uses your data?

The data controller is Thibaud Neuville, operator of Buildenzo. For any enquiries: contact@buildenzo.com. Information about the publisher can be found in the legal notices.

2. Accounts and security

We use your name, email address, password in encrypted form, account type and notification preferences to provide your account and secure your login. Personal and business accounts remain separate, even if you use the same email address. Login codes are temporary. Logins and suspicious attempts may be logged to protect the service.

Account management is based on the provision of the requested service. The prevention of abuse, moderation and error diagnosis are based on our legitimate interest in ensuring a reliable and secure service.

3. Projects, messages and photos

A direct enquiry and its attachments are accessible to the individual, the recipient company and authorised administrators. The company first sees the postcode and town. The full address and contact details are provided in accordance with the authorisation given in the form, upon acceptance of a site visit or construction project.

A published project is presented to companies authorised to search for building projects. The proposals received and any correspondence are restricted to the accounts concerned. Dates, decisions and messages enable the request to be tracked and any potential issues to be investigated. Do not add any sensitive data or photographs of third parties without their consent.

These processes enable the requested matchmaking service to be carried out. Correspondence can be viewed once the project has been completed.

4. Company pages, reviews and reports

Professional information and approved projects are public. Published reviews and company responses are visible on the website; information submitted solely for the purpose of reporting an issue remains accessible only to authorised personnel. The team can view the relevant history to understand the context, prevent abuse and make a moderation decision.

The requested publication forms part of the service; the review of reports is based on our legitimate interest in protecting users and ensuring the reliability of content.

5. Recruitment

Your professional profile remains private. When you apply for a job, a copy of the selected information and attached documents is sent to the relevant company. Any subsequent changes you make will not affect an application that has already been submitted. You can withdraw your application from your account.

Detailed application data and attachments are accessible for up to 180 days after submission, after which they are deleted as part of the daily data purge. A limited amount of tracking data may remain in your account. Your personal profile is retained for as long as your account exists; you can edit it or remove your photo.

6. Cookies, analytics and contact

Optional tracking of visits and clicks is only enabled with your consent. Your choice is stored for 180 days and can be changed via ‘Manage my cookies’. Searches also generate performance statistics by profession and region, without your name being recorded in this table. Full details can be found in the Cookie policy.

When you contact us, your email address and message are used to reply to you and follow up on your enquiry. This processing is based on the actions you request or on our legitimate interest in providing assistance.

7. Service providers and access

OVHcloud provides the hosting and email services used by Buildenzo. Administrators and managers have access restricted to their specific roles. Companies receiving a request or application are responsible for how they use the data received in order to respond. We do not sell your personal data.

If you follow a link to a company’s website or social media page, the rules of that external service apply. These links do not automatically load any external tracking modules on Buildenzo.

8. Retention periods

  • Accounts, requests, correspondence, projects, reviews and their history: whilst the account is in use and for the time required to process a deletion request. Limited retention may be necessary to comply with a legal obligation or in relation to an identified dispute; in such cases, the reason and duration will be specified to you.
  • Detailed applications and documents: up to 180 days, with the option to withdraw earlier.
  • PHP diagnostic logs: 30 days. Statistics on searches, visits and clicks are retained for 13 months.
  • Cookie settings: 180 days on your browser.
  • Messages sent to support: whilst the request is being processed and any follow-up actions are being taken; you may request that they be deleted.

Account deletion is processed via the admin panel. Associated files are deleted once they are no longer in use by any other authorised content. Security backups follow their renewal cycle; a deletion request must be resubmitted in the event of a restore.

9. Your rights

You may request access to, rectification of, erasure of, restriction of, or, subject to the applicable conditions, portability of your data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw your consent for optional processing, without this affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to the withdrawal.

Please write to contact@buildenzo.com from the email address associated with the relevant account, specifying your request. We will verify your identity in an appropriate manner. You may also lodge a complaint with theBelgian Data Protection Authority.

Mandatory information on the forms is indicated. Without this information, certain procedures cannot be processed. Buildenzo does not make any decisions that have legal consequences for you based solely on automated profiling.

Translation of public notices

Published reviews and public responses from companies may be sent to DeepL to be translated into the chosen language. Their original text is retained and remains accessible. Translations are saved to avoid translating the same content multiple times. Private conversations, account details and attachments are not sent to this service.

Avoid including personal contact details or confidential information in a public notice. Machine translation may contain inaccuracies: refer to the original if in doubt.

Protection against bots

To protect accounts and forms from automated submissions, Buildenzo uses Cloudflare Turnstile. When a check is needed, Cloudflare processes technical data, including your IP address and browser information. This processing helps secure the website and is based on our legitimate interest in preventing abuse.

Buildenzo does not send the content of your forms or conversations to this service. Attempt counters and check results are stored to prevent abuse and monitor the protection. For processing carried out by Cloudflare, please read its Turnstile privacy notice.

Registration and Meta advertising measurement

With your consent, we measure the business registration steps: viewing the presentation, starting the form, creating an account, confirming the email and submitting the profile for review. Our internal counters are grouped by day, language and source, then deleted after 90 days. They contain no names or email addresses.

If you accept Meta advertising measurement, the pixel also sends these events to Meta, along with technical data such as IP address, browser, visited URL and cookie identifiers. Meta may associate these with your Facebook or Instagram account. We do not send your email address, phone number, form contents or messages. Advanced matching and automatic event detection are disabled.

Advertising tracking stays disabled until you consent. You can withdraw consent at any time through Cookie preferences in the footer. This stops new transmissions from the site; it does not delete data Meta has already received. The _fbp and _fbc cookies may be stored for up to 90 days. Meta describes its own retention periods and international transfers in its privacy policy.
